Hunter Valley and City to Coast Holiday Homes is led by Sue and Rachael, combining decades of experience with a hands-on, boutique approach to holiday property management across the Hunter Valley, Sydney and coastal regions.

MEET SUE

After a successful 20-year career in corporate marketing and communications, Sue transitioned into the short-term rental industry in 2000, making her a veteran in the field. She brought with her a strong foundation in branding, customer experience and strategic marketing, and went on to launch Hunter Valley Holiday Homes, along with Stays in the Vines and Hunter Valley Stays in 2013 — helping to shape the local holiday accommodation market.

In 2018, Sue sold Hunter Valley Stays and has since continued to refine the business into a trusted, high-performing portfolio, now expanded under the Hunter Valley and City to Coast brand. Sue also owns and operates Hunter Valley Lodge & Retreat, a highly regarded group accommodation property with over 100 five-star reviews.

Her deep understanding of guest expectations and property performance underpins everything the business delivers. Sue continues to drive the marketing, brand development and strategic direction of the business, ensuring the portfolio remains competitive, visible and aligned with market trends.

MEET RACHAEL

Alongside her work in the Hunter Valley, Sue has also provided consultancy within the industry, where she met Rachael while assisting with the rebuild and relaunch of Beach Stays on the Northern Beaches following COVID.

Rachael brings a wealth of corporate experience, having held senior logistics and operational roles with a strong focus on customer excellence, systems and performance. Her background in managing complex operations, combined with a highly organised and solutions-driven approach, ensures the business runs efficiently while maintaining a premium level of service.

As General Manager, Rachael now leads the day-to-day operations of Hunter Valley and City to Coast Holiday Homes. She oversees owner relationships, guest communications and property performance, ensuring consistency, accountability and attention to detail across every aspect of the business. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening operational processes, improving service delivery and supporting the continued growth of the portfolio.
